Our veterinary hospice services are dedicated to comfort-oriented patient and family care. We work with your family, your family’s veterinarian, and your pet in order to provide the most appropriate care as your pet nears the end of their life. Our focus is on allowing your pet to live their life as fully as possible for as long as they are able. In order to determine when “the time is right,” we stress the importance of monitoring your pet’s quality of life. During our hospice visits, we discuss the things that all animals need (comfort, food, water, and good hygiene), as well as what makes your pet “happy.” The quality of life scale provides a way to evaluate all of these factors over time and allows us to determine when saying a gentle goodbye may be the best thing for your pet.
