Dr. Christin is from a very small town in North Carolina. She attended N.C. State University for both her undergraduate degree and DVM training. After graduation from veterinary school, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. She then settled in Virginia Beach to be close to the beach and her family. She has practiced as an emergency veterinarian primarily for the past 17 years before joining the Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice team.
When not working, Dr. Dean is a mom to two wonderful 9 and 11 year old boys, both on the autism spectrum. She enjoys spending time doing anything on the water, reading, and caring for her own personal zoo (including 2 dogs – a Boston terrier named Petunia Pickles, a long haired Chihuahua named Poppy, 4 cats, 5 chickens, 3 ducks, 1 Sulcata tortoise, 1 Bearded dragon, and 1 Axolotl.)
