In-Home Euthanasia Recommendation
Based on the answers you provided on the Pathway to Care Assessment, it appears the kindest option at this time is to consider providing a peaceful transition for your pet by scheduling an in-home euthanasia appointment. We understand that this is an incredibly difficult decision for you and your family to consider. Please call our compassionate client relations team if you have any questions or need further discussion on this recommendation.
Choosing In-Home Euthanasia for Your Beloved Pet
When planning the transition for your pet, there is something special about them staying in the comfortable surroundings of their own home. Whether it’s in their special bed or favorite sunny spot, they are less stressed and much more relaxed in a familiar setting. One of the doctors from our team of veterinarians will come to your home and gently guide your pet’s peaceful passing in this calmer and quieter setting.
Once the decision for pet euthanasia has been made, we can help you by offering our expertise and compassionate support throughout the entire process. Even when making the phone call to schedule the date and time for your pet’s euthanasia, you will feel comforted by a kind and understanding team member. They will guide you through the details and gather as much information up front (as you are able) so we can minimize the amount of time needed for paperwork at your appointment. They will go over such details as:
- What to expect when the veterinarian arrives.
- Aftercare options for your pet.
- Answer questions you may have.
The veterinarian that will visit your home will always review the details of the euthanasia process with all that are present and to prepare everyone for what to expect during the in-home visit. To schedule an appointment with us, click the button below.

“I think perhaps Sassy’s (and my) experience were not typical in that Sassy lived for two years with a liver tumor after I had been told by my vet that she likely wouldn’t last more than a month. I share that to say I had an extended period of time to work with the angels at HR Veterinary Hospice. Jeannette worked with Sassy and me right up to the end and she was amazing. I am so grateful for the care she provided to Sassy and the loving way she took care of me in going through the process. Sassy has been gone almost five months and I still miss her every day and am grateful for the bonus time I had with her because of her excellent care.”
“I wanted to find a way to thank Dr. Megan for offering the most compassionate and kind care I could have imagined during our time of need. The entire Caring Pathways team was intentional and informative from start to finish but Dr. Megan was truly incredible. She allowed us to take our time, explained everything with the level of detail (or not) that we needed, and just held the space for us to support sweet Loki in his passing. I am so grateful for her presence. She always knew when to say the right thing and made sure our baby transitioned in the most comfortable, loving way possible. I feel indebted to her for this gift. Thank you thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.”
“My entire experience with Caring Pathways has been incredible. From the gal who answered the phone and helped get us an appointment as soon as possible and explained everything in detail with tremendous patience and compassion to Dr. Emilea, who treated our sweet girl with so much compassion, tenderness, and love in her final moments. Thank you for providing us with as much time as we needed and your kind words helping us through a difficult time. We cannot thank the Caring Pathways team enough for their compassion and support.”
“We are so grateful for Dr. Eddie Desko and the entire Caring Pathways team. From my initial call and virtual appointment/health assessment with Dr. Emily to the final goodbye with Dr. Desko, we would have been lost without their guidance and compassion. We could not have asked for a more peaceful experience as our Charlie crossed the rainbow bridge, and I am so grateful to the doctors for the confidence they instilled in the decisions we had to make.“
“It took me awhile to get into the right headspace to write this. Dr. Kim was amazing with me and Stanley as we said our goodbyes. I’m grateful, especially during this time of COVID, that Caring Pathways offers a way to say goodbye in the comfort of the home. After almost 17 years together, I couldn’t imagine Stanley being alone at the end. I miss him dearly but can’t say good things about Dr. Kim and the team. Thank you for everything you did for us.”
