Scrappy, my best friend. We did everything together. Car rides, walks at the park, hugs and being loved. We had many years together and neither of us wanted to let go. Scrappy soldiered on, never really showing he was in pain. I had taken him to the vet and no one knew what was really wrong. Today, after long anguish, I contacted Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice and they met me and Scrappy and gave me a clear picture of what was happening. It was very difficult to say goodbye, but they helped me and Scrappy move on.
